2020 Issue 36 Review

2020 Review

Just picked up Issue 36 of 2020 Bmx Magazine and im gonna do a little review.

On the Cover - Josh Kathigitis doing a ruben wallride taken by Dave Rubinich on a Nikon D300. The colours are really good and he is super high on the wall and this pic gets u stoked to do wallrides so in my opinion this is a sweet cover.

There is loads of content in this but some of the main articles are -

Untited OZ Trip - Ryan Llyod, Josh Kathigitis and Dave Rubinich set out from Adelaide to Canberra to meet up with some guys up there then down to melbourne for a few days. This is a really good article and it just has a good vibe to it and some really good photos.

Dirt Pipe 2 - Unless you have lived under a rock for the last 2 months you would have heard about the Red Bull Dirt Pipe. James Wade made the trek up from Adelaide and told a story about his adventures and took some sweet photos.

Kombi Fools - Ryan Guettler bought a Kombi Van and took Nick Richardson, Troy Charlesworth and Josh Mete along for the ride. The guys had a blank book that whoever sits in the passenger seat needs to scribble in there thoughts and whats going on. Pretty much the article is what was in that book at the end.

Chris Courtenay - Just a load of random questions and some amazing photos of chris destroying everything he touches. Definetly worth the read.

Triplesix Roadtrip - All the Triplesix dudes went on a roadtrip including OS dudes like Ryan Sher and Hoang Tran and documented there adventures and took some rad photos along the way.

Processing Black - Nick Gascoine gives you a little guide in processing Black & White film its a cool little read and makes you understand the effort some dudes go through to get there pictures.

Deadman Walking - Jimmy Levan talks about being in a coma and being off his bike for 2 years but its great to see he is shredding hard again in the pictures. This article makes you realise how sometimes we take being able to walk out the door and go for a ride for granted.

The Unemployment Trip - The Colony boys go on a trip and there is some great riding by Mick Bayzand, Liam Fahy-Hampton, Zac Miner and Chris Courtenay definetly worth a look.

Dean Manson - An interview with Dean Manson and he talks about living in a town called Cockatoo and his Mum punching out a lady at Mcdonalds haha. Defs worth a look.

There is a rad Unit poster of Jaie Toohey doing a superman seatgrab at Cam Whites trails in Canberra

Also there is a sticker sheet that has Proper Bike Co, Verde, BSD, Forgotten Bike Co and loads of other great stickers.

Overall there is some sweet photos in the mag and some good ads. This magazine is a good showing of BMX in Australia right now and you should definetly go out and pick yourself up a copy.
